LETTER FROM SAG TO 168 FILM PROJECT:
SAG agrees to waive the requirement that filmmakers must provide a copy of the script as well as the three week advance notice requirement although we still need as much advance notice as possible.
Farrell McClure is the business representative who will assist filmmakers who wish to use SAG members in their 168 Film Project submission. Attached is a preliminary information sheet (THIS WILL BE SENT TO ALL PRODUCERS) which a filmmaker can execute and fax or mail in to Farrell so that the signatory documents can be issued as soon as possible to avoid delay and will also provide us with a record of which teams intend to become signatory and use SAG members. Suzy Wilson at Breakdown Services has been informed that filmmakers participating in the 168 Film Project may use SAG members under the SAG Short Film Agreement.
The 168 will not distribute a film made under the terms of the SAG Short Film Agreement either on a DVD compilation of short films or in any other way unless the deferred compensation of $100 per day plus applicable overtime and pension and health contributions is paid to the professional performers.
